April 03 Joaquin's First trip to Manila ZooIt was the last Sunday of March and my wife and I decided that we bring Joaquin to Manila Zoo. At first I thought... jolog naman bakit Manila Zoo pa... pwede naman sa Tagaytay... pwede naman sa Ark Avalon Zoo in Tiendesitas. I guess we thought Joaquin is still young for Zoo trips and it’s just an experiment if he will appreciate it. I guess he did! Especially with the elephant. Too bad... wala ng giraffe kainis as he wants to see one.
O well here are some pics of his first trip.

Being a part of a new medium in supporting our customers is a new challenge in my career. Specially if you are new to the product you are supporting. Having said this, I have searched for quotes that would help me overcome these challenges and excel in this new account.
· Mountains cannot be surmounted except by winding paths. Goethe · Accept the challenges so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory. General George S. Patton · I have always grown from my problems and challenges, from the things that don't work out, that's when I've really learned. Carol Burnett · What is genius, anyway, if it isn't the ability to give an adequate response to a great challenge? Bette Greene · In every difficult situation is potential value. Believe this, then begin looking for it. Norman Vincent Peale · Trouble is only opportunity in work clothes. Tony Dorsett · To be tested is good. The challenged life may be the best therapist. Gail Sheehy · Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging. Joseph Campbell · Give yourself an even greater challenge than the one you are trying to master and you will develop the powers necessary to overcome the original difficulty. William Bennett · It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves. Sir Edmund Hillary
These quotes from famous people do help us…. They help us look into things in a different perspective… as for me… I look into these challenging times as opportunities to be better. In this case to be better in what I do… without these challenges… life or working… would be boring…
just my two cents…
October 16 buhay seminaryoLiving in the seminary... I entered the seminary when I was in first year high school. I was that young to live separately from my parents. We only get to go home three times a year... during sembreak (3 to 4 days) which falls on All Saints Day... Christmas break (2 to 3 weeks) ... and summer break(a month since the other month is for our summer camp). For the rest of the year, they do visit us for the first Sunday of the month which is called visiting Sunday.
I surely miss my family... my friends... my perks... but why did I enter the seminary.... since have three uncles who are priests, I really wanted to be one... but that did not make me conquer my lonely nights... what helped me was the other activities we had in the seminary... I thought at first that most of the time we will just pray.... but no.. I was wrong... I learned a lot of things... I learned to do my laundry... to do chores... to live with fellow seminarians... to play alot of sports... discipline... and specially to pray daily.
To have a better picture here is our sched for a day so you could see what we experience in a day...
6:00 am Wake up 6:20 Mass 7:00 Breakfast 7:15 to 8:00am Morning Chores 8:00 to 12:00 School 12:00 to 12:30 Lunch 12:30 to 1:00pm Recreation 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm School 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm Games 5:30 to 6:00 shower 6:00 to 7:15 study period 7:15 to 7:45 dinner 7:45 to 8:00 Recreation 8:00 to 8:15 Rosary 8:15 to 9:15 Study period 9:15 to 9:30 Evening prayers / talk 9:30 REST
It was like living in a military since everything is planned... but we enjoyed... I learned to clean the pig pen or fold the laundry... or sweep the floor.. Or clean the lavatory... I also learned how to play football... I was part of the varsity then... hehehe... I was able to play in the palarong pambansa... I learned to play musical instruments... I was on a play once... I was on the rondalla group... as you can see... we had a busy busy busy sched.. because we were told that idleness is the workshop of the devil.
Living in the seminary had its ups and down... we had fun.. Real fun!!! we had relationships... with my family.. friends... and with God.
It was 5 memorable years for me....
